It’s tradeshow time of the year right now and with our ever-growing product range it’s a major achievement just to get a week at home. We had New Zealand’s big show ‘TRENZ’ a few weeks ago (where weirdly none of our bus competitors were properly represented), and it was fantastic. While some markets are poor at the moment others are quite strong and loving the ‘Stray – further off the beaten track’ positioning. The Adventure Party also went down a treat (thanks to Katie, Henry and the Bungy crew for hosting it again!) Last week was the big Thai trade show ‘Thailand Travel Mart’ for ‘Stray Asia’ and I passed the baton on to our new ‘Group Sales Manager’ Nemo (congrats mate, lucky you don’t have to move to far from your Spaceships/Mojo role), who attended with our Asia GM ‘Holly’. Next week we have the ‘Australian Tourism Exchange’ for Spaceships which for the number and quality of our meetings is one of our busiest of the year – so it’s a week in Perth for me.
It’s easy to be proud of our products and what our crew have been achieving, when I am talking to people at all of the shows that I attend. People are loving our trips – our customer feedback has never been better – and we are constantly innovating with great new things that are blowing people away such as our new remote village stop in the Mekong and our cool new nature retreat stop in Punakaiki. We also must be doing something right as our customer numbers are hugely up. This has to be down to our continued focus on product and doing the best possible trips, this stands out even more than usual when others in New Zealand seem to be focused on nothing more than putting each other out of business!
Better go, only three days in NZ this week so better make the most of it!
