Chao everyone!
Stray is getting further off the beaten track, local Viet style! That’s right, Vietnam has now been added to our hop-on hop-off Southeast Asian travel network, and here in the Stray offices, we are all pretty excited about it.
Holly and the Stray Asia team have been busy sussing out the best spots for travellers to go in Vietnam, and in true Stray style have discovered some ultimate off the beaten track secrets, with a lot of help from the locals.
The passes include all the Vietnam favourites and travel up the coast from the chaos of Ho Chi Minh City to the bustling Hanoi, visiting all the usual popular stops (Hoi–An, Hue), but it wouldn’t be a Stray trip without a few remote, unique stops and activities along the way.
You’ll encounter curious locals and take a mountain bike ride to the Datania Waterfalls in the French town of Dalat; and stay in a local homestay in the M’Nong ethnic village, where there’s an option for a boat and elephant ride on Lak Lake.
You’ll experience real Vietnamese local hospitality in the coastal seaside town of Quy Nhon; and get off the tourist trail and swim in the warm ocean waters of Cam Lo. There are new caves to discover, National Parks to visit, tunnels from the Secret War to traverse, rice paddies to cycle amongst and locally brewed beer and fresh seafood to consume – no expensive side trips as we take you right into the middle of the action.
Our guides are there to give instant access to local information that you can’t get on the internet or in a guidebook, and our mini-coaches link you to remote locations and allow for easier flexible, safe and independent travel.
We’ve been working pretty hard so that you can discover all the untouched beauty Vietnam has to offer. So yeah, it’s fair to say we’re pretty excited!
Cam on ban!
